We transmit our thoughts and feelings out into the world as vibrations or waves of energy. You can be miles away from a friend and if you both are on the same wavelength, she may pick up your signal, your energy, and interact with it. You broadcast your thought forms to your friends, neighbors, the strangers you meet on the street and out into the world in general. Those same people are also broadcasting their thought forms on their individualized frequency to their friends, neighbors, strangers they meet on the street – and to you!
Often thoughts of like-kind band together and form cloud-like waves of thought that you can feel. Have you ever walked into a room and felt like you could “cut the air with a knife”? That’s a thought form, or someone’s left over energy that you encountered.
It’s easy to understand that we often feel other peoples’ vibrations or auras without even realizing it. Your resonance might be “in tune” with mine, or we might be “out of sync”. I might say that this person just “struck me the wrong way” or that I feel “on the same page” as that other person. You were probably picking up signals from a person’s energy field.
Here is an exercise to try the next time you are on the phone with a close friend:
EXERCISE : Seeing and Feeling Energies
As you speak with your friend on the phone, close your eyes and visualize your energy emanating out in waves from your body. Imagine your thoughts and feelings leaving your space and traveling out, touching the other person’s space.
Now, feel the other person’s thoughts coming toward you, much like a sonar wave. As the other person is talking, see if you can alter the quality of their vibration as it enters your space.
After you hang up the phone, close your eyes for a moment. Sit in stillness and feel the energy in your room. Has it changed? Can you feel some of that other person’s energy hanging around? Are you in a better mood? Do you feel a warm glow spread throughout your body when you think of them? You might think that particular feeling is just a thought hanging around in your mind, but feel into that energy. Is that warm glow only in your body, or could it be that the feeling is in the air around you? Is there lightness to the space around you because your friend said something that made you smile?
