Lack or Plenty – What Will You Choose in 2015?

25 January, 2015 — Posted in: Choosing Your Own Reality Leave a Comment

4622571132_e74f631262_zAbundance is our natural state. It expresses itself by creating plenty of whatever our energy is focused upon. So the question becomes, “What type of abundance do you have?”

Are you experiencing an abundance of plenty, or an abundance of lack? Like attracts like. Whatever you focus on is drawn into your experience. Look around you. If you are experiencing lack of money, lack of time, lack of happiness, then it’s time to think about learning new ways, new techniques; shifting your abundance to a state of plenty.

One of the Universal Laws is that life is a flow of giving and receiving. There is a rhythm, an ebb and flow to everything. When you give positively of your time, your energy, your knowledge or your money, it will come back to you multiplied. If you are in a state of lack, you are coming from a space of restriction and inhibiting the flow. The universe always mirrors back to you whatever you do, so become conscious of what you are thinking and feeling and doing.

Give what you want to receive. If you want love, give love. If you want more time in your life, then give your time to an organization whose mission is in alignment with your passion. If you want to receive more money, then give money to others.

Give in joy, give freely, and give from a space of abundance and joy. One way of doing this is to tithe. Tithing is not always religious in nature. Think about giving to an organization that adds to your spiritual growth in some way. It could be that a charity doing important work in your community calls out to you. Or it could be to some organization that offers help to those in need worldwide. Whatever, wherever, you are drawn, that is the important piece; give there. Tithe in the spirit of freedom and gratitude without an expectation of receiving anything in return from that particular organization.

It doesn’t matter the amount of your gift; it is the intent that matters. You will receive back the same energy in which you sent your tithe. So be clear of intent when you write out your check. Be happy, be grateful. Be in a state of appreciation.

And keep the flow going. When you set up a regular schedule of giving, you are in a constant flow, and there is no stagnation. When you give only large amounts now and then, you will be in stagnation during periods where you are not giving. That returns you to a state of lack. So give from an abundant heart and keep the energy clear and free of negativity or thoughts of lack.

Tithing regularly, from a space of gratefulness and plenty, brings you into a state of prosperity. That feeling of ease; a knowingness deep within that through the act of giving to others, YOU are adding light to the planet. And isn’t that what it’s all about?

In a few short weeks (February 8th to be exact) the book, Tame Your Inner Critic Find Peace & Contentment to Live Your Life On Purpose will be released. Here’s the link if you wish to preorder.

And…I would be honored if you would share the news with your friends and family.

Celebrate You

1 December, 2014 — Posted in: Gratitude Leave a Comment

rp_prosperity-balloons-300x225.jpg“People of our time are losing the power of celebration. Instead of celebrating we seek to be amused or entertained. Celebration is an active state, an act of expressing reverence or appreciation. To be entertained is a passive state–it is to receive pleasure afforded by an amusing act or a spectacle…. Celebration is a confrontation, giving attention to the transcendent meaning of one’s actions.
Source: The Wisdom of Heschel” ― Abraham Joshua Heschel

December is a month of celebration – of parties, presents, friends and family. But what about celebrating you? Celebrating all the hurdles you’ve jumped through, all the new things you’ve learned, all your triumphs, big and small.

So often, we think of the outward part of celebrating. But what of your inward journey. What new ways of being have you embraced this year? And it doesn’t have to be big to count. In fact, it’s the small baby steps we take each day that add up to our big giant leap into NEW.

So let’s celebrate YOU. What baby steps have you taken this year?

Can’t think of any? If you keep a journal, flip to December 1st of last year and read about who you were then. Do you recognize that person? What’s changed since then? Think big and small. Have you switched from coffee to tea in the morning? Do you have a new job or a new home? Are there new people in your life or new ways of being? Did you take up an art class or are you actively involved in something new?

Or review your social media posts for the year to catch a glimpse of who you were then and who you are now. By bringing our attention to our triumphs, we live in a state of gratitude and abundance. We know that like attracts like, so the more we celebrate our steps forward, the more we attract similar vibrations into our life.

Here is an exercise to build your celebration muscles so that your body and mind will expect triumphs:

My Year of Big and Small Steps

  1. On post-it notes write down at least three things to celebrate from this past year. Small stuff counts.
  2. Place each of your post-its in different rooms of the house so that you are surrounded by your accomplishments. Examples: Place one on your bathroom mirror, another by your phone’s charger, and another on your nightstand. Surround yourself with reminders of all that you have accomplished this year.
  3. Smile to yourself as you read them at least once each morning and once each night.

Celebration is food for the soul. Be in gratitude for every bit of your forward progress- big steps and small.

Now – take a picture of your post-it notes and share below so we can all celebrate with you! (Here’s mine)

How You Treat Money Is The Way Money Will Treat You

25 January, 2014 — Posted in: The Energy of Money 2 Comments

The principle I live by is this: How you treat money is the way money will treat you. Place your wallet in front of you. If you’ve had this particular wallet for some time, it may be dirty or torn. The bills may be crumpled up and sticking out in various directions, along with pieces of paper, sticky notes, bills, and grocery lists. Remembering that money is energy, consider whether your wallet, your money’s energetic “home,” is inviting. If you were money, would you want to live here?

I treat the money in my wallet like a dear and trusted friend. My money is not crunched up into tiny balls, it is lovingly handled. I straighten out the corners, smooth the bills, turn them so they all face the same way: forward and face up. As I’m doing this, I acknowledge money’s importance in my life. I appreciate money, and money appreciates me.

Next, become mindful and respectful of caring for the other places your money calls home. Reconciling your bank statements, keeping tabs on your retirement funds, cleaning out the spare change from your car—all are ways to honor your money. Apply the same organized, caring approach to your credit cards and the larger monetary world that goes beyond the cash in a wallet.

How you treat your money is an indication of how much worth you assign to it. Make a comfortable place for your money to call home—one that’s so nice that your money will want to stick around.

Money and the Law of Circulation

Can You Be Rich Without Money?

17 January, 2014 — Posted in: The Energy of Money Leave a Comment

There are people who have money and people who are rich – Coco Chanel

Are you rich without money?  How?

8499146248_b4ba3cece9List those ways in your gratitude journal or write them out and hang them on your refrigerator.  Keep close to you thoughts of how you are already rich.

Yes, money is an important tool that brings with it opportunities and ease.  But it’s not the determinant of richness.

Abundance is a vibration, it’s not the dollar amount of your paycheck or your bank balance.

Remember that what we think and feel we will be.

If we think in terms of lack that’s what we draw to us lack of money!  So turn it around:  Be in gratitude for what you do have.  Live in the energy of abundance.

You have a roof over your head, you have food on the table and you probably have a car to drive.  As you stand in the energy of abundance and gratitude you magnetize to you more of the same energies.

When you are grateful for the clothes you wear and your ability to go out for dinner with friends, you change the vibration of your money space.  You are rich with gratitude and full of appreciation for all that you do have.  This is true wealth.
