Money Prosperity Abundance

29 January, 2014 — Posted in: The Energy of Money Leave a Comment

Coloured air balloons

This month we’ve looked at the energy of money.  We’ve unraveled our inner critic’s thoughts and feelings around money by actually writing down the words we say to ourselves when we think about money. (See previous post here).

We know that what we think and feel we will be.  Our thoughts are giant magnets calling to us energies of the same vibrational family.  So if we think in terms of lack – not having enough, angst and worry – then we will attract more of the same.

We know this – and as we look around, our reality echos this. Most people stop right here and say that the Law of Attraction just doesn’t work for them.  They only attract the things they don’t want and feel that prosperity and abundance are for other people, not them.

Duh!  What you believe translates to your thoughts and feelings.  And your thoughts and feelings call more of the same to you.  So if you believe that prosperity is for other people, then guess what?  That’s what you attract!

So how do we move out of this state of lack and into the state of prosperity and abundance?  We know it’s not by wishing and hoping for it to happen.  We know we have to do something – but what is it that we have to do? Two things:

  • First thing: We use our tools!  We actually do something about our thoughts and feelings.  We change it up.  We choose differently.  We work to remove the energies that are keeping us in lack. We use our grounding cord, tapping, blowing up roses to move us to a higher vibrational family.
  • Second thing: We act responsibly!  We honor the money we currently have in our lives by keeping within our family budget, saving for the future, and remaining conscious while we spend our funds.  We honor the money we have while acknowledging that we are worthy of having more.

Prosperity and abundance are feeling-states and are available to all – no matter the amount of money in your bank account.

The following meditation helps to set your money space – the energy of how you view money.

Exercise: Resetting Your Money Energy

  1. Be in your meditation space with your eyes closed, feet flat on the floor. Be in the center of your head and just breathe, creating a neutral, present-time vibration in which you can look at the energy of money. Release your current grounding cord, and put on a brand-new one. Make it wide, secure, and set it on maximum release. Allow all those thoughts of what someone else feels about money, to leave your space and release down your grounding cord. See your aura as clean, clear, and filled with your own energy—no one else’s.
  2. Intend for a bubble to appear in front of you. See this bubble filled with the colors of what money means to you. Put a grounding cord on this bubble and drain out any energy that is not yours. Watch as the grounding cord pulls all that foreign energy out of your bubble, leaving it crystal clear.
  3. Now let’s fill your bubble with colors representing the qualities that you would like to bring to your awareness around money. Make the bubble as big as you would like. This represents your havingness around money. See the colors of the qualities you associate with money fill the bubble. See the energies flowing, in and out, back and forth. My personal money bubble is big—bigger than my body. I see myself on a rope swing over a river of money. The river is the color of ease, playfulness, choices, and opportunities. As I sway back and forth, I acknowledge that the river below me will always be in motion. In and out, back and forth, high and low, money is a constant flowing energy in my life. As I jump from the swing into the river, I feel the cool, crisp river of money flow over and through me. I am grateful, appreciative, and at peace as I continue to float downstream.
  4. Make your visualization full of images that mean something to you. Maybe you see money gushing from the center of the earth, spewing opportunities and choices. Maybe you see yourself surfing on a wave of money, filling your body with emotions of gratitude and peace.
  5. Once you have the bubble exactly as you want it, pull it into your third chakra, your power center. Know that you are intending for money to be a tool that you can harness for your own growth and development.
  6. When you feel complete, open your eyes.

[END EXERCISE]

My money story has changed over the years. As I’ve come to terms with my inner critic’s voice, I’ve developed a level of self-confidence and self-worth in all areas of my life.

I know that how I view money is a microcosm of how I view myself.

I am worthy.

I am worthy of having money and I am worthy of living a life full of purpose and meaning.

So are you.

How You Treat Money Is The Way Money Will Treat You

The principle I live by is this: How you treat money is the way money will treat you. Place your wallet in front of you. If you’ve had this particular wallet for some time, it may be dirty or torn. The bills may be crumpled up and sticking out in various directions, along with pieces of paper, sticky notes, bills, and grocery lists. Remembering that money is energy, consider whether your wallet, your money’s energetic “home,” is inviting. If you were money, would you want to live here?

I treat the money in my wallet like a dear and trusted friend. My money is not crunched up into tiny balls, it is lovingly handled. I straighten out the corners, smooth the bills, turn them so they all face the same way: forward and face up. As I’m doing this, I acknowledge money’s importance in my life. I appreciate money, and money appreciates me.

Next, become mindful and respectful of caring for the other places your money calls home. Reconciling your bank statements, keeping tabs on your retirement funds, cleaning out the spare change from your car—all are ways to honor your money. Apply the same organized, caring approach to your credit cards and the larger monetary world that goes beyond the cash in a wallet.

How you treat your money is an indication of how much worth you assign to it. Make a comfortable place for your money to call home—one that’s so nice that your money will want to stick around.

Money and the Law of Circulation

Abundance is our natural state. It expresses itself by creating plenty of whatever our energy is focused upon. So the question becomes, “What type of abundance do you have?”

Are you experiencing an abundance of plenty, or an abundance of lack? Like attracts like. Whatever you focus on is drawn into your experience. Look around you. If you are experiencing lack of money, lack of time, lack of happiness, then it’s time to think about learning new ways, new techniques; shifting your abundance to a state of plenty.

One of the Universal Laws is that life is a flow of giving and receiving.  There is a rhythm, an ebb and flow to everything.  When you give positively of your time, your energy, your knowledge or your money, it will come back to you multiplied.  If you are in a state of lack, you are coming from a space of restriction and inhibiting the flow.  The universe always mirrors back to you whatever you do, so become conscious of what you are thinking and feeling and doing.  Consciously creating your environment; that is the key!

Give what you want to receive.  If you want love, give love. If you want more time in your life, then give your time to an organization whose mission is in alignment with your passion. If you want to receive more money, then give money to others.

Give in joy, give freely, and give from a space of abundance and joy. One way of doing this is to tithe.  Tithing is not always religious in nature.  Think about giving to an organization that adds to your spiritual growth in some way.   It could be that a charity doing important work in your community calls out to you.  Or it could be to some organization that offers help to those in need worldwide.  Whatever, wherever, you are drawn, that is the important piece; give there.   Tithe in the spirit of freedom and gratitude without an expectation of receiving anything in return from that particular organization.

It doesn’t matter the amount of your gift, it is the intent that matters.  You will receive back the same energy in which you sent your tithe.  So be clear of intent when you write out your check.  Be happy, be grateful.  Be in a state of appreciation.

And keep the flow going.  When you give frequently, you are in constant flow and there is no stagnation. When you give only large amounts now and then, you will be in stagnation during periods where you are not giving.   That returns you to a state of lack.  So give from an abundant heart and keep the energy clear and free of negativity or thoughts of lack.

Tithing regularly, from a space of gratefulness and plenty, brings you into a state of prosperity.   That feeling of ease; a knowingness deep within that through the act of giving to others, YOU are adding light to the planet.  And isn’t that what it’s all about?

Can You Be Rich Without Money?

17 January, 2014 — Posted in: The Energy of Money Leave a Comment

There are people who have money and people who are rich – Coco Chanel

Are you rich without money?  How?

8499146248_b4ba3cece9List those ways in your gratitude journal or write them out and hang them on your refrigerator.  Keep close to you thoughts of how you are already rich.

Yes, money is an important tool that brings with it opportunities and ease.  But it’s not the determinant of richness.

Abundance is a vibration, it’s not the dollar amount of your paycheck or your bank balance.

Remember that what we think and feel we will be.

If we think in terms of lack that’s what we draw to us lack of money!  So turn it around:  Be in gratitude for what you do have.  Live in the energy of abundance.

You have a roof over your head, you have food on the table and you probably have a car to drive.  As you stand in the energy of abundance and gratitude you magnetize to you more of the same energies.

When you are grateful for the clothes you wear and your ability to go out for dinner with friends, you change the vibration of your money space.  You are rich with gratitude and full of appreciation for all that you do have.  This is true wealth.

Money and the Law of Attraction

14 January, 2014 — Posted in: The Energy of Money Leave a Comment

“To better understand the Law of Attraction, see yourself as a magnet attracting unto you the essence of that which you are thinking and feeling.  And so, if you are feeling fat, you cannot attract thin.  If you feel poor, you cannot attract prosperity, and so on. It defies Law.”   Abraham

dreamstime_xs_20030639I started re-reading The Law of Attraction, The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham by Esther and Jerry Hicks.  It’s interesting what you glean when you re-read things.  Maybe I’m just ready to receive more of the teachings, as things are so much clearer to me this time around.  I’ve been focusing on outward expression for so long, bringing my will and effort to things, in the hopes that this type of attention will change my circumstances.  But of course, that’s not the case.  As Abraham says, it’s what you are thinking and feeling that counts the most, not the effort you bring to it, or the attention you give it.

So how are you feeling about money?  What thoughts are running through your mind?  Are you full of lack and fear, or joy and acceptance?

If you’ve kept a log of your money dialogue (see previous post), then you’ll understand the current energy of your money space.  No judgment allowed.  This is about understanding where you are and then choosing differently.

But how do you choose differently?

Here’s how:  first, become conscious of the thought or feeling that you want to change.  Second, recognize that the underlying story or emotion behind the thought is the real culprit.  Remember the story.  Remember the words spoken in judgment, or the expectation handed down from your parent.  Bring that story up from the basement of your subconscious and into the light of your awareness.  Writing out the story may help to bring all the pieces into focus.

Most people stop here.  They’ve worked only part of the equation.  Remember that thoughts and feelings are like energetic sticky notes!  Your inner critic voice, and particularly your inner dialogue around money, is probably just a mash-up of all the judgments, expectations and “shoulds” of your parents, neighbors, and friends that you’ve taken into your body and aura and accepted as your own truth.  Shine your light of awareness on your money story.  See if what you “believe” about money is really a true statement or if you’ve just taken on someone else’s baggage and accepted it as your own.

As an example, let’s say that you believe that you’ll never have enough money. Deep down in your core, you believe that you will never be “well off”.

Where did that belief come from?  Is it something you really believe or something left over from a dinner table conversation during your childhood?  Were you raised in a household where there wasn’t enough to go around?  Did your parents use phrases like “we’re just getting by” or “we can’t afford that”.  Maybe you remember the times your parents scraped together the change to take a trip to see a family member in need, all the while, worrying about taking time off from work and losing that week’s pay.  Maybe you just felt this energy of lack and worry and doubt permeate your life.

Write out the story and then use your tools.  Tap on the story, ground it out, blow it up in a rose.

That’s how we are different!  We can actually move the energy and the emotion out of our systems.  We can recognize that the story is not ours – it’s our parents’ story that we’ve taken on as our own.

Your life is different.  You are different.  As you remove the energy of lack from your body and aura, you expand the opportunities for your own money energy to flow.  Yes, your budget is the same and your paycheck remains the same, but your attitude is different.  You’ve opened up the energy pathways and allowed a new level of flow and ease.  Now watch as your outer world begins to shift into alignment with your inner world.

Your thoughts are giant magnets drawing to you events and circumstances of the same energetic family.  Think expansiveness, think ease, think joy.  As Abraham says, if you feel poor that’s the energy you will attract.  So think and feel prosperity and abundance.  Be in a space of flow when you think “money”.
