How To Deflect Outside Energy

25 September, 2014 — Posted in: Thoughts | Particles of Energy Leave a Comment

https://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-image-control-emotions-image8683396

We’ve spent some time this month bringing our awareness to the idea that thoughts and feelings travel – and they are sticky! We are surrounded daily by the thoughts and feelings of other people. It’s hard to understand what our intuition is telling us if we are surrounded in the mist of other people’s thoughts of what we should do and who we should be.

What to do? We don’t want to become a hermit – life is for experiencing – and we do that by relating to people. That’s how we learn and grow.

I teach clients to use a tool that helps them keep other peoples’ energies out of their space, while still acknowledging that life is all about relating. This tool is called a protection bubble, and it encases your aura in a protective layer or wrapper of impenetrable material. The purpose of this covering is to deflect foreign energy coming your way—before it can enter your aura—thus preventing people from unintentionally climbing into your space.

Subconsciously, as two people are relating to each other, they intuitively feel each other’s energy and reach into each other’s space. As your friend’s energy bumps up against your aura, you do not want her to be startled or annoyed that you no longer allow her energy into your space. But you do want to give her a psychically gentle reminder that you are not into co-mingling energies.

Exercise Creating Your Protection Bubble

  1. Sit in meditation with your eyes closed and your feet flat on the floor. Feel your grounding cord and your surrounding aura bubble filled with the energies of peace and stillness.
  2. In front of your closed eyes, see an image of yourself sitting in the middle of your aura. Check out the colors of your aura today.
  3. Now let’s design the protective coating for your aura. You can change the coating every day during your daily meditation, so don’t worry that it has to be perfect. Experiment; that’s the joy. See what works for you.
  4. Think about how you would like to prevent foreign energy from entering your aura. Sometimes I see a fine wire mesh surrounding my aura. This permeable membrane allows my scattered energies to come in but keeps out others. Other times I envision a platinum coating sealing my aura from all outside influences. You might experiment by surrounding your aura in a bubble of glass or protective coating of Teflon. You get to choose. Have fun, and fashion a protection bubble of your choosing.
  5. When someone thinks of you, his or her energy is coming your way, even from a long distance. Notice what happens to your aura’s protection bubble as it encounters outside energy. It may change color as it absorbs this energy, or the energy might just slide off the surface. Notice what you notice.
  6. No matter what it looks like right now, intend for that protective bubble to explode in front of you. See it utterly disappear. See your aura in front of you without protection.
  7. Create a new protection bubble in front of you. Design it to be just right for you today. Set the intention that it will work for you all day, deflecting any foreign energy before it can enter your aura. When you have it set in place, open your eyes and come out of meditation.

END EXERCISE]

Every day as part of your morning meditation put a new protection bubble around your aura. Know that it will work for you all day long by turning aside foreign energy before it enters your space.

Your Thoughts Are Like Magnets

20 September, 2014 — Posted in: Thoughts | Particles of Energy Leave a Comment

dreamstime_xs_20030639

“To better understand the Law of Attraction, see yourself as a magnet attracting unto you the essence of that which you are thinking and feeling. And so, if you are feeling fat, you cannot attract thin. If you feel poor, you cannot attract prosperity, and so on. It defies Law.” Abraham

Much has been written about visualizing what you want; attracting things and ways of being into your universe via the Law of Attraction. We know that like attracts like. All thoughts are powerful, but the most magnetizing thoughts are full of feelings and emotions. We think of these as our dominating thoughts. If we feel it, sense it, see it, then we are drawing that energy into our lives.

This magnetizing action works all the time. It works while you are awake and while you are asleep, pulling to you frequencies that are in harmony with your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Take a look around your life. See what type of events, people and circumstances you have manifested up to this point.

Don’t judge yourself too harshly. Instead, look and be amazed at what a powerful being you are!

If you’re ready to change a few things, then choose new dominating thoughts. A thought is just a thought. It is nothing until you attach a story to it.

And that’s the key; the story attached to a random thought. Stories are full of images, feelings and emotions. The more powerful the images, the more powerful the story.

Your story of how you see yourself is probably a mixture of your original essence and the judgments expectations and “shoulds” of your parents, neighbors and friends. It’s difficult to manifest a life in alignment with your hopes and dreams if you’re magnetizing to you energies that vibrate with the stories you’ve picked up from other people.

In order to change the story, we must first become conscious of the underlying feelings that we want to change. We do this by remembering the story.

See if what you believe about yourself is a true statement or if you’ve just taken on someone else’s baggage and accepted it as your own. Bring that story up from the basement of your subconscious and into the light of your awareness. Remember the words spoken in judgment or the expectation handed down from your parent. Writing out the story may help to bring all the pieces into focus. This is the first step – bringing your awareness to the story.

The second step is intent. Do you want to get rid of the energetic imprint of the story? Sometimes you do, and sometimes you don’t. Often people are tied to their stories because the victim energy feeds their sense of self. If that’s where you are, then that’s where you are. No judgment, just awareness.

And if by chance you are ready to be something different, intend it to be so. Awareness then intent; that’s the process of becoming a conscious creator. As you intend to consciously create a new story, you start moving out the energy that’s keeping you stuck.

One of the easiest ways to remove the thoughts and feelings of others from our space is through a grounding cord. One end of this energy cord attaches to your body and the other end attaches to the center of the earth. The gravitational pull of the earth sucks the foreign energy (other people’s thoughts and feelings) from your space, making room for more of your life force. You can attach this grounding cord every morning during meditation, and it will stay in place all day.

Next, fill in with a new story of who you are and what you want to manifest. Fill yourself up with the energy of self-acceptance and worthiness. Make your dominating thoughts those that are a true reflection of your soul’s intent. Be filled up with gratitude, certainty and self-love. You are worthy of having the life of your dreams. You just have to feel it, sense it and allow it to become your dominating thought.

And finally, if the old story tries to reattach, just remember that you are in control. You’ve turned the page, and you’re becoming something more. Tell that old story, “Oh, I remember you. You’re that story that’s trying to keep me small. I’ve outgrown you, and now I am something different, so please go away.” Send the story down your grounding cord or take a deep breath in and with your exhale swoosh that energy out of your body and your mind. Be in control. Be the master of your universe.

Choose your thoughts – choose your life.

Where Do Thoughts Go?

15 September, 2014 — Posted in: Thoughts | Particles of Energy Leave a Comment

s-1

We’ve all heard stories about parents who just knew that their child, who was miles away, needed help.   Or maybe you have had the experience of thinking about a person, and then the phone rings. When you answer the call, your friend is on the line and says, “Hey, I just thought I’d call because I was thinking about you.”

Thoughts and feelings are waves of energy that can travel across great distances.

In his book, Ageless Body, Timeless Mind, Deepak Chopra calls a thought “an impulse of energy and information, like everything else in nature.” Most of us go through our day giving little notice to our thoughts.

But what if we stopped and consciously thought about our thoughts.

Thoughts are impulses of energy – that means that energy, whether that particle of energy is a thought, a feeling or anything else in nature – is in motion.

Think of that for a long moment. Your thoughts are particles of energy in motion.

Where do they go? What happens to a thought once it leaves your body and the space surrounding you?

You already know – you just haven’t thought in these terms. Maybe you’ve walked into a room right after an argument and noticed that the energy of the room felt like you could cut it with a knife. Or maybe you’ve been alone in a church or a spiritual sanctuary and felt the sacredness of the space.

Imagine these thoughts floating around in space. Imagine everyone’s thoughts and feelings floating around in space. It calls to mind the image of walking in dense fog; a vapor so thick that you can’t see the road in front of you. Some of this foggy mist sticks to your clothes leaving you feeling a bit soggy and wet.

Thoughts are just like this foggy mist. The thoughts and feelings of others can be so thick that you can feel them. And they are sticky, just like the mist. We become covered with thoughts and feelings that we’ve unconsciously picked up and stored away in our body and the energetic space surrounding us.

Pretty soon we can’t tell our true wisdom – thoughts that originate with us – from the stray thoughts that we’ve picked up as we’ve intermingled with our friend and neighbors.

Finding your true passion in life – living a life full of purpose and meaning– your purpose and meaning – can be pretty difficult if we are covered in a mist of other people’s thoughts and feeling.

So how do we remove this mist of other people’s thoughts and feelings?

We often clean our energy field without even realizing it. Maybe you’ve walked away from a particularly offensive conversation by shaking out both hands or shrugging your shoulders to remove the icky after-effects of your conversation. On the other hand, you might have felt like rinsing off in the shower or shaking your body, much like a wet dog coming out of the river. Either way, you were unconsciously removing foreign energy (other people’s thoughts and feelings) from your aura.

Of course, not all encounters with foreign energy are as dramatic. Simply brushing the energy off your arms, legs, head, and back as if you were removing a layer of dust from your skin might be sufficient. Or, you might expel foreign energy from your body by inhaling deeply and then exhaling through your mouth with force. These methods work well if you’re consciously aware of picking up energies from others and choose to expel the energy right away.

However, we’re not always consciously aware of exchanging energies with people in our environment. In this case, it might be helpful to use a tool that, once activated, will continue to work the entire day keeping your energy system free of other people’s thoughts and feelings. This tool, called a grounding cord, is an energy cable that securely connects you to the center of the earth. Through the force of gravity, it efficiently drains any energy from your body and your aura that is not your own. (Energy Tool: Grounding Cord)

No thought is ever lost. What type of mist are you walking around in?

How To Telepathically Communicate

10 September, 2014 — Posted in: Thoughts | Particles of Energy Leave a Comment

362674859_e101fafa68_z

The human energy system is called by many names. The Chinese speak about chi (or qi), a vital energy that runs through meridians, or energy channels in the body. In traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is used to balance chi, unblocking these energy channels, resulting in good health and vitality.

The Hindus speak of Prana, the breath of life, the breath of consciousness. Prana flows through the body and is considered a main component of Ayurvedic medical treatments. Modern day yoga practice is built upon the precept of breath, or prana.

In Japan, life force energy is known as ki, and the practice of Reiki is moving this life force energy throughout the body’s energy channels.

Even western scientists have begun to recognize a “bio-field” or energy field surrounding the physical body. Biologist and author, Rupert Sheldrake, writes about the theory of morphic resonance. These are invisible fields that surround and connect all matter and allow species to communicate telepathically.

Prana, chi, morphic fields or auras, they all describe parts of the same concept; an energy field that extends around your physical body, housing your thoughts, feelings and life force energy.   From this energetic field, we can interact telepathically with others by sending our thoughts and feelings out into the energetic web of connectivity to our friend on the other side of the planet, or to our child in need.

As we begin to understand auras and energy fields, we come to the awareness that we are all connected. What affects one affects the whole. You truly are your brother’s keeper and the thoughts and feelings you transmit out into the cosmos have a lasting impact on the energy system of the entire world.

Exercise: Telepathic Communication

Here is something to try the next time you are on the phone with a close friend. As you speak with your friend, close your eyes and visualize your energy emanating out in waves from your body. Imagine your thoughts and feelings leaving your space and traveling out, touching the other person’s space. Now, feel the other person’s thoughts coming toward you, much like a sonar wave. As the other person is talking, see if you can alter the feel of their vibration as it enters your space.

After you hang up the phone, keep your eyes closed for a moment. Sit in stillness and feel the energy in your room. Has it changed? Can you feel some of that other person’s energy hanging around? Are you in a better mood? Do you feel a warm glow spread throughout your body when you think of them? You might think that particular feeling is just a thought hanging around in your mind, but feel into that energy. Is that warm glow only in your body, or could it be that the feeling is in the air around you? Is there lightness to the space around you because your friend said something that made you smile?

Interesting, isn’t it? Welcome to the world of energy!

Beginner’s Guide to Sensing Auras

5 September, 2014 — Posted in: Thoughts | Particles of Energy Leave a Comment

Auras Chakras

Most cultures of the world recognize that we are more than just our physical shell of skin, bones, and teeth. We are thinking, feeling, living, energetic fields of potential. We are our thoughts, feelings, emotions, brain, mind, body, and Spirit all wrapped together in a package of consciousness.

All of this potential, this consciousness, doesn’t just reside in the physical body. Thoughts and feelings, our own, and those we’ve picked up from others, surround us in a personal bubble of vibrational energy called an aura. While this word may be new to some people, we’ve all experienced someone “getting in our face” or standing too close to our back as we wait in line. What we are experiencing is the effect of someone invading our space, our aura.

If you’ve never thought about your aura or experienced this space around your body, this is an exercise designed to help you imagine this space. It’s not something most of us can readily see so it might take a bit of awareness to begin to sense it.

 Exercise: Sensing Your Aura

  1. Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor, eyes closed.
  2. Our auras surround us – front, back, side to side, even below our feet. Let’s see what we can feel. Breathe and relax as we do this exercise.
  3. Slowly raise both arms above your head as if you were reaching for the ceiling. Feel this space that extends above your head about as high as your hands can reach.
  4. Now lower both arms and extend them to each side, much like a windmill.
  5. Finally, extend one arm behind you and one arm in front of you. Feel into this personal bubble of energy surrounding you.
  6. Lower both arms to your side as you remain seated with your palms up. Relax, sit and breathe.
  7. Still with your eyes closed, sense the space behind your knees and down to the tips of your toes. Imagine your aura extending below the floor.
  8. Most people’s auras are oval in shape. Imagine this egg-shaped space all around your body softly pulsing with energy.
  9. Now, think a peaceful thought and imagine that peaceful energy filling your aura.
  10. Is this thought, this impulse of energy just in your brain, or do you feel the peaceful thought throughout your body and aura?
  11. Now, send that peaceful thought out from you to a friend of yours.
  12. Imagine that thought of peace leaving your aura and touching your friend.
  13. Now think an angry thought and imagine your aura filled with that energy. Do you feel the difference?
  14. We are not going to send this anger to our friend, but you might want to imagine this anger leaving your space and hitting the wall in the room across from you. Feel how you can throw energy?
  15. We don’t want to leave that anger over there on the wall, so imagine that energy as a big slimy mess of goo and visualize it sliding down the wall and returning to the earth.
  16. And we don’t want to leave ourselves in this state either, so think a calm thought and imagine your aura, head to toe and all around you, filled with calm, soft energy.
  17. Sit in your personal energy field filled with this calm energy for a moment longer.
  18. Know that as you get up and walk around, your aura will move with you.
  19. When you are ready, open your eyes, get up slowly and walk around the room.

As you begin to understand auras, you come to the awareness that we are responsible for the thoughts and feelings that we send out into the world. What type of energy, what thoughts and feelings, would you like to surround yourself with today? Anger and frustration or compassion and joy?
